Quitting
A Reflection
Before I begin today’s delayed musings, I am staring a quote by Ayn Rand, philosopher and writer:
Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it’s yours.

I thought I would have a sense of relief
Or a wave of excitement
But I am not living enough in the moment
To appreciate the feelings of the now
I sent my resignation letter today to corporate America
As I embark on this transition
I am reminded that I am working towards what I’d like to call my Year of Creation
Everything is scary
Yet everything is possible
